I talked to Dave about the hands-on on the 15th and there will not be a theme. It will be an informal drop in and work on what you like or need help with.

-President’s Message
Happy New Year to all our members.

Since we started the club in September we have had about 70 members sign up and new members signing up each meeting.   We have about 90% attendance at our meetings.

Things are working out very well at our new Humber College location.  The facilities are excellent and so are the two professors.

In December 2009 we had our first club competition which was a great success.  There were many participants especially in the beginner categories.  Our distinguished judges were amazed at the quality of work displayed.

The Executive is in the process of setting up a hands-on program which will help club members who are experiencing problems with some of the following:  sharpening, tool use, preparing project for lathe mounting etc.  All we ask is that you let us know in advance whether or not you plan on attending.

We will be bringing a few more top turners to the club in the near future.  Please check this website and the monthly e-mail updates, courtesy of Michael and Theo.

We are always looking for volunteers for set-up and tear down and also demonstrators, if you feel comfortable with the topic.

It should continue to be an exciting year at Humber.
